CUSTOMER SERVICE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

Employers agree that Customer Service is a priority skill to possess.  Get ready for a dynamic program that will bring your customer service skills to light!  This program is focused for bank positions.

DRESS TO IMPRESS
Friends for Success(a division of the YWCA) will be showing you how you can "Put your best fashion foot forward."
They will teach you the fundamentals of presenting yourself in a tasteful, fashionable manner and shed some light on what the employer needs to see in today's working environment. Darlene will also provide valuable information, regarding the protocol for dressing within our four seasons.

GOING BACK TO SCHOOL

Resources to help people who want to learn about continuing their education, choosing a program that suits ones individual factors and finding out about different types of funding available to them.

HOW TO ACE AN INTERVIEW

It's your chance to show your future Employer that your are the right person for the job!  An interactive workshop that offers several interview tips to impress the Interviewer!

INTRODUCTION TO ANGER MANAGMENT
Develop the skills necessary to prevent anger in the workplace from escalating to the point of no return or to deal with it in a constructive manner.
INTRODUCTION TO EMAIL
You'll set up and learn to use a free, web-based e-mail account for your job search. Setting up e-mail folders and filters, the address book and calendar options will be explored.
LEARNING HOW TO NETWORK
Learn the fundamentals of Networking in today's job market .
Networking can work for you , when you  choose to discover how many ways YOU can help yourself , when it comes to finding your "dream job."

LIVING WITH BALANCE

Balancing work and home can be a challenge in today's world.  Learn different techniques to manage your life – from parenting, budgeting and learning to cope with every day obstacles.  This is your chance to get it all together and still find time for yourself!

ODSP EMPLOYMENT SUPPORTS & YOU
ODSP Employment Supports Specialists will be on site to explain how their program works and what is available to you.  There will be a Q & A period, so come prepared.  Date to be announced.

SELLING YOURSELF IN THE JOB INTERVIEW
Discover 15 ways to win at Job Interviews and 16 traits interviewers frequently look for.
THRESHOLD SCHOOL OF TRAINING
Threshold School of Training will discuss their basic training programs, in construction skills. N.B. Some Ontario Works recipients may be eligible for training subsidy(contact your Ontario Works employment counsellor for more information.)

TRIOS COLLEGE

Learn about the different programs, lengths of the courses and hours of academic instructor led programs offered by Trios College. Find out how private colleges differ from community colleges, requirements of the college entrance evaluation and identification required to enroll. 

WORKING AND ODSP                                                                                                                                               Income Maintenance Manager, Ken Clewley will explain to you how it is to your advantage to work while in receipt of ODSP, reporting income, etc.   There will also be a Q & A period, so come prepared.
